Project Vriksh

Nurturing Nature, Growing Futures

800M Tons Floral Waste/Yr
Waste to Value Model
Circular Approach

Rooting Change Through Floral Waste Upcycling

Project Vriksh (meaning "Tree" in Sanskrit) is an Enactus-led sustainability initiative focused on transforming floral waste into durable, value-based products through structured upcycling.

With nearly 800 million tons of floral waste generated globally each year, a significant portion is discarded after single use. When unmanaged, this waste contributes to odor, hygiene issues, and environmental strain. Project Vriksh addresses this challenge by converting discarded flowers into preserved, market-ready products through structured upcycling.

The initiative operates on a circular approach where floral waste is collected, processed, and transformed into products that extend the lifecycle of natural materials. Alongside upcycling efforts, the project also promotes environmental awareness through plantation drives and community engagement activities to encourage long-term ecological responsibility.
